I'm not doing a good enough job.
According to a report this week, over half of American households bought fake meat or dairy impersonators in 2020. After a year of record sales and raising over $3B from investors, lab meats will start covering more of the shelves.

🤡 What will not be fooled:
While plant-based meats may trick our eyes (though not really) or our taste buds (though not really), they will not trick our human physiology. We are designed to eat real meat, not fake meat.

🚲 How do you learn to ride a bike:
Last week I talked about how talent is overrated. I mentioned how "deliberate practice" gives anyone with the passion and persistence the chance to win. And I want to highlight another kind of learning called " tacit knowledge." You
don't learn to ride a bike by reading about balance or aerodynamics. You learn via tacit knowledge. Cedric Chin wrote a 4-part series, which is the best summation I've seen on how to use this little-known learning method to enhance skills.

At the center of any business is a core product or service. And BJ Fogg, a Stanford behavior scientist, says there are 3 rules to creating a thriving product:
- Help people do what they already want to do
- Help them feel successful
- Make it as simple as possible
- Help people do what they already want to do

💥 What 2 forces might collide:
The last several months I've been studying macroeconomics because it feels like we are at an inflection point of what Ray Dalio describes as the end of a long term debt cycle combined with a bitcoin bull market and more mainstream adoption. I've been thinking deeply about what may result if these two forces collide. And this week I found this article by Taylor Pearson incredibly insightful from a big picture perspective and will no doubt be a part of my strategy in navigating these potentially colliding forces.
