📚 What deal I made with myself:
I officially finished Meat Health Academy this week. It feels good to put everything you have into something, finish it, and step back and look at it. I'm excited to share it with you in just over 1 week (Tuesday, March 23rd it's going live)!
As you might know, I'm a bookworm. I like to read 1-2 hours/day. But I set myself a deadline that Meat Health Academy had to go live by the end of Q1. So, at the beginning of the year I made a deal with myself that I couldn't read any more books until I finished the Academy. I held true to that and thus got to reward myself this week and pick up a couple new books.
The first is a book by Judy Cho that I've been looking forward to reading called " Carnivore Cure." I'm already loving it, and I'm not surprised as Judy does an amazing job at presenting information (just see her instagram account).
The second book is about " Understanding the Heart" by Dr. Stephen Hussey. I'm just getting started, but knowing Stephen, I know how well researched this is and pretty sure I'm going to love it as well.

🗣 What's a superpower:
When asking myself Jeff's questions, I realized that one area I want to push my comfort zone even further is with public speaking. I'm naturally more of an introvert. I can think, read, and write all day, but not too long ago simply being a guest on a 1-hour podcast would drain me. I've gotten better, but have a long way to go. And as Michael explains in his ultimate guide to public speaking, being able to communicate with an audience is a superpower. I'll be working on it.

🎾 How to learn to play tennis this afternoon:
As long as you don't try too hard, you can learn to play tennis in an afternoon. I read The Inner Game of Tennis many years ago and the main lesson has stuck with me: get out of your own way. I tend to use a modified version of the
methodology. During practice I make sure there is struggle (deliberate practice) but when it's game time, let go, and get out of the way. A good example of this in action is public speaking — craft the the talk,
practice and rehearse, but when it's time to deliver it, drop the bullet points and full immerse in the moment.

💲 Which path are we headed down:
It seems like there are 2 possible paths in the economy. One is the continual printing of money leading to more inflation. The other is raising interest rates which would collapse financial markets. I found this barbell investment strategy to be a fantastic overview of potential economic
scenarios and ideas on what to do in each situation.
If the Fed were to raise rates at all it would inflict staggering losses on bond portfolios worldwide...raising rates is the nuclear option. Instead they go with the palatable, feel good option, which is to continue pilling on debt...with the threat of hyperinflation on the horizon, your job as a steward of your own and other’s capital is very simple: find a way to store financial wealth today, that will allow you to outpace inflation.
