- A few weeks ago I asked a friend how his dental practice was holding up during the pandemic. He said there was no shortage of work. Perhaps because baking has become a favorite past time while working from home. An all-day-access buffet of sugar/carbs spells disaster for teeth. But my friend also mentioned tooth fractures. Lo and behold, I see this article in the NYT this week: "A Dentist Sees More Cracked Teeth. What's Going On?"

- P.S. while stress is a major contributor to clenching, grinding, and tooth fractures, sleep disordered breathing (which ranges from snoring to obstructive sleep apnea) is a major cause of nighttime grinding and tooth fractures too.

đŚ¸ââď¸ What superhero can (maybe) stop the (maybe) supervillain:
- Over the last several years I've been studying / researching the environmental impact of food production. In this gigantic web of issues and possible solutions I invariably come across nuclear energy. While I'm far from an expert in this area, I do believe it holds promise. But beyond the merits/limitations of nuclear energy, I found this style of persuasion
particularly effective - which I like to call "Edutainment."

- If you've read this newsletter for awhile you know one of my favorite thinkers / philosophers / investors is Naval Ravikant. Over the last decade I've followed his work and wisdom on twitter, podcasts and blogs. Eric Jorgenson curated and distilled these teachings into a book called "The Almanack of Naval Ravikant - A Guide to Wealth and Happiness." It's available for purchase on Amazon,
