🪂 What challenge I'm participating in:
- With my recent focus on improving mobility, many people have referred me to Ido Portal's Movement Culture. Well I've decided to do a "Hanging Challenge." For as long as I can remember my thoracic spine has been overly kyphotic, certainly exacerbated by many hours a day at a computer or hunched over someone's mouth pulling teeth. And I came across this simple challenge: hang
for 7 minutes a day, for 30 days. Nothing to lose, easy to implement, and promising potential for postural benefits – I'm in. I'll report back on the results in October (join me and send me your results!).

🏋️♂️ What I'm moving to:
- For the last several months I've been doing a "high volume; low frequency" workout split:
- Day 1: Shoulders
- Day 2: Back
- Day 3: Chest
- Day 4: Biceps / Triceps
- Day 5: Legs / calves
- Repeat
- This kind of split has its place for more advanced trainees. But it can be overdone. So I'm moving to a "low volume; high frequency" split for awhile (still mostly doing these exercises).
- Day 1: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps
- Day 2: Legs, Back, Biceps
- Day 3: Rest or Repeat
- This kind of split is great for beginners, but I also think it's a smart strategy for people who have trained with a lot of volume as a way to give the joints a break and give the muscles a new variable for progressive overload.

💡 What billion dollar business idea I had:
- This week I spent way too many hours trying to figure out how to record my electric piano's voicings directly into my music recording software. I went through the manual. I went to Google. I watched YouTube tutorials. I even joined facebook groups to try and figure out this issue. But the nature of the problem was too specific. What I wanted to be able to do was shoot a video and describe the exact issue. Then have someone say "I know how to do that! For $20 I'll shoot
you a step-by-step video." It's the fastest $20 I'd ever spend. Then I was like "this is a business." On-demand tutorials. I frequently have problems like this, where I'd much rather spend some money than half a day searching for an answer. I shared the idea on instagram and ~80% thought is was a good idea, and 20% already know everything :)
- Shoutout to the many people who messaged me with a free helping hand. Very much appreciated! And perhaps it's a bad business idea and we should just count on the generosity of people!

🎶 What I did without:
- Although I hadn't figured out my piano issue (above), I released Song #8 of my 2020 Challenge (learn to make music). So far, the reviews are mixed, LMFAO...

💲 What's your LWR:
- I'm sure you've seen the financial management commercials and heard their catch phrase: "What's your Number?" (i.e. how much money do you need to have in the bank to retire) However, I like this argument for measuring a different number, your Lifetime Wealth Ratio (or LWR) as a means to evaluate the health of your personal finances.

🎨 What I'm tackling next:
- Before I started my 2019 Challenge (learn to draw), I did a self-portrait. Now, almost 2 years later, I'm going to do another one. I thought it would be a cool 2-year progress pic. Luckily, it's not going to be too hard to beat this one 😂
