💉 What's a win-win -
- I have a genetic mutation with the HFE gene. This gene encodes for a protein that regulates iron absorption and storage. Because of this I have a tendency to store excess iron. Unfortunately this doesn't make me more like Iron Man. But treatment is an easy win-win: blood donation.

❄ What fixed my ice cubes -
- I thought I had faulty ice trays (yes I still use old school ice trays). The cubes would stick to the trays and crumble. I never thought much of it. I don't really care if my ice cubes are perfect cubes or not. However, I finally got to the bottom of the faulty ice cubes, and perhaps I should have cared a bit more.

⚠ What's being censored -
- Advocating for a meat-based diet is considered "Alternative Health." This category of health has come under fire, most recently and notably, by Google. Over the last few weeks Meat Health has become increasingly difficult to find via Google. Universal agreement about health is likely a long ways off, but I think having dialog over disagreements is crucial - a way to learn from others and
open new perspectives. But information censorship like this from Google is dangerous. Examine.com, a high quality nutrition research site, also got hit by Google and they wrote a nice piece on it.

🧘♀️ What habits make the difference -
- I asked people what 1 daily habit they have that is outside the normal which has made the biggest difference in their lives. Answers included meditating, breathing, reading, cold showers, flossing, making the bed, journaling, gratitude practice, stretching, playing with pets, affirmations, walking in nature, getting sun, listening to podcasts, and driving to work in silence.
- Even though these daily habits cover a diverse range of activities, I think most boil down to a similar core essence. These habits are practices that enable you to step back from the noise of life. They help you avoid slipping into unconscious reactionary behavior, which tends to be the "default mode" in modern life. Instead these habits allow you to mindfully, intentionally, and consciously live and create. As I'd say - these are ways of turning down the noise
in order to hear Yourdrum.

- The last couple weeks I've talked about entrepreneurship. It goes without saying that creating a product or service that people love is the core of any business. But right on top of this foundation is marketing and sales. If no one knows about your great product or service, they can't get it. Here are 3 laws of marketing, my favorite article of the week.

📅 What's coming -
- I was on the HPO podcast this week talking with Dr. Shawn Baker and Zach Bitter about the seeming dichotomy of being a dentist yet filtering fluoride out of my water. We also discussed links between oral and systemic health and nutrition's role in keeping a healthy mouth and healthy body. We talked about sleep apnea, fitness, and all kinds of good stuff. Once the episode is live, I'll let you know here in the Saturday 7.
