1. What test I took -
- Last year, after eating over 1,200 lbs of red meat, I took a blood test. I wrote about the results a few weeks ago, and finally got around to chatting about them on the podcast.
2. What my next victim looks like -
- In my second drawing on my quest to see if I can find my "Right Brain," I improved on what I thought was the biggest problems in the 1st pic, but this 2nd pic has a particularly curious phenomenon that I can't explain...
3. What 10 lessons I noted -
- I finished "The Courage to Be Disliked" and noted 10 lessons from the book. Lesson #5 made me look at praise in a whole new light and lesson #10 is the one I'm ever-working on - The Dance.
4. What barrier I'm always trying to break -
- At sea level, the activation energy for water to change to steam is 212 degrees Fahrenheit. That's the barrier. At 211 nothing happens. At 212 you can power a locomotive. I think changing your life is the exact same.

6. What pains me -
- On Thursday morning, the team and I were all set to start treating kids, but my dental assistant wasn't there yet. She hadn't returned any texts. We found out she had taken her life the night before. It pains me to know that her bright attitude masked such dark pain. My heart breaks for her kids, her loved ones, and everyone fortunate enough to know her. And it pains me to know how many people are suffering just like her.
7. What's coming -
- The 2nd installment of the Brain Food series should be ready for you next week. Later in this series I plan on writing about diets potential role in mental health, which I think is one piece of very complicated puzzle that includes things like depression, purpose, isolation, and addiction. As always I'll link to them right here in the Saturday 7.
