- With the New Year around the corner, I've been thinking about ways to make 2019 even better than 2018. I found this list of 30 behaviors a great way to self-evaluate areas I can improve on. Warning: It's long, but it's good.
4. What the 30 under 30 taught me -
- I always enjoy going through Forbes "30 under 30." Without exception, these teen and 20-somethings dare to follow their own paths, bucking the conventional. They are passionate. They go for it. And it's fun to see what one can accomplish in such a short period of time. Ironically, these youths are a great reminder that you're never too old.

6. What 30 lessons intrigued me -
- Class reunions are interesting. You get to see how time and decisions have shaped lives. A Harvard grad at her 30th reunion discovered 30 shared truths among her classmates. I found many of her observations deep (#15) and insightful (#9), important (like #7) and others quite surprising and contrary to my experience (like #2).
7. What 30 day free trial ended -
- I heard someone describe Netflix as "paying for self-sabotage." And I mostly agree with this. But sometimes brain-dead-entertainment is exactly what I need. And for this I turned to "Designated Survivor" with a free 30 day Netflix trial. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And yes, I canceled after the 30 days - back to work :)
