Should we all be taking vitamins?
Vitamin and mineral supplements are a $32.7
billion industry—and their benefits are hotly debated.
Evidence suggests many (most) are unnecessary, ineffective, or even harmful, though certain groups may benefit.
In my opinion, the biggest benefit is plugging some holes in a bad diet, which is a far worse option than eating a better diet.
P.S.
I disagree / would debate / clarify the supplements they do recommend such as folic acid and omega-3 fish oils, in favor of folate (ideally from food like liver) and less omega-6 in the diet.
