Good morning!
Here's your Saturday 7 roundup — Shock Edition!
🥛 Shocking change:
After 2 years of drinking raw milk, I'm stopping.
There are a few reasons why.
First, I want to move to a more ancestrally appropriate diet.
Beyond infant breastfeeding, humans didn't consume much (if any) dairy prior to the Agricultural Revolution.
Even after the
Agricultural Revolution, drinking milk was not a traditional way of consuming dairy. Besides a few indigenous peoples like the Maasai and Samburu, traditional groups always fermented milk into other dairy products like cheese, kefir, and yogurt.
Second, the high quality milk I'd get (raw, A2, non-homogenized) is expensive and inconvenient.
Third,
I am starting another "bulk" but not to the extent I did over the last 2 years where I gained 35 pounds. Milk helped pack on the pounds, but this current bulk is going to be less extreme.
Fourth, since I was a kid I've had a skin condition known as
tinea versicolor. It comes and goes with seemingly no rhyme or reason.
