I was disappointed to hear this news. Not so much because of the (insignificant) 0.4 grams of maltodextrin, but because of the violation of trust. The brand was build on no BS. No dodgy ingredients. Yet, they hid this ingredient.
I'm one of their oldest affiliate partners. For the last 7
years I've recommended the product as the go-to electrolyte.
Not only did they violate this trust, they are also on the verge of kicking me off their affiliate program because I always say "you don't need it" :)
For now, I'll still be putting their chocolate packet in my coffee because:
- Even with the maltodextrin, it's still a good product
- The chocolate is really good in coffee
- Salt with Mg and K+ in coffee can improve hydration
P.S.
To put the 0.4 grams of carbs in perspective, an egg has 0.6 grams.
