You've heard me say it before.
The mouth is the canary in the coal mine, the early warning alarm, that tells us when our diet is off.
For example, a child may go to the pediatrician and get a clean bill of health; however, when I look in their mouth, I see teeth rotting.
A mouth full of cavities is an indication that the child's diet is off, but the pediatrician didn't catch it because the child didn't yet exhibit obvious disease...yet. It would likely be decades before this kid (then an adult) gets diagnosed with a chronic disease like diabetes or fatty liver caused by the poor diet.
Dr. Lisa Wiedeman, 14 year carnivore and eye doctor, invited me on her YouTube channel where we discussed how the mouth and eyes are early detectors of poor diet.
