🦷 How to reverse a cavity:
We used to know that nutritional deficiencies and high carb diets led to cavities, and decaying teeth were an early warning sign for systemic diseases.
Holes in Your Teeth = Holes in Your Diet
A diet that reverses cavities is a big hint about what a proper diet entails.
But when private interests starting taking priority over public health, the ADA reversed their prior stance on carbohydrate reduction and started advocating for a “well-balanced” diet, a term which increasingly meant high-carb. (r)
Those who recommend high carbohydrate diets (WHO, USDA) also advocate for fluoride.
Instead of listening to the warning signs, they want to mute them.
I'll discuss fluoride next week, but do they not consider the
possibility that a diet that causes the hardest substance in your body to decay just might have other adverse downstream consequences on your health?
