It's true that if both
parents are obese the children have an 80% chance of obesity. However, it's not "obese genes" that are getting passed down, it's the diet and lifestyle that creates obesity that children inherit.
Of course, some people are more predisposed to obesity than others, and there are epigenetic factors whereby the modern food environment influences the expression of genes in different ways, but it's not Mendelian inheritance.
Obesity has risen from 14% in 1960 to over 40% today. (r)
Genes don't change that much in 6,000 years (as we know from the Human Genome Project) nonetheless 60 years.

The obesity drug they are promoting is a GLP-1 analog / mimetic known as semaglutide sold under the brand names of Wegovy and Ozempic. It suppresses appetite and comes with cancer concerns as well as severe weight rebound
risks (due to adipose hyperplasia) if use is discontinued.
