Hey, good morning! Here is your Saturday 7 weekly roundup! 💯 What's the surest way to success: There is a trick to force success upon yourself. Get close to a small group of people with a similar mission and values. What happens next is like magic. You're held to a new standard. You're held accountable. You're motivated. You begin to see yourself differently.

Even if we have perfect
information, sometimes we need another pair of eyes to help us see what we are missing, eyes to hold us accountable, and eyes to go on the journey with.

Carnivores wean earlier than omnivores. The higher quality diet enables mothers to wean babies earlier (and have more children). Chimpanzees: ~5 years Humans: ~2 years We wean early because we (should) wean to meat. But everyone knows...(most popular video this week)
💓 How to save a life: Every two years I have to recertify in Basic Life Support (BLS).
While it's mandatory for
dentists, it's is a good skill for everyone to have, so here's a brief summary on how to save a life using BLS: - Check the victim for responsiveness
- Direct someone to call 911 and another person to get an AED
- Check pulse and breathing
- CPR: 100-120 compressions/minute, 2" deep, 30 times followed by 2 rescue breaths, repeat
- AED: use immediately, turn on and follow the prompts
There's a bit more nuance for certain situations and for children and infants, but this is the gist, and if you keep it simple, you're much more likely to remember and be able to execute on it. The difference between imperfect action and inaction can be saving a life.
